A man and a teenager have been charged with the murder of a pizza delivery driver in Sheffield.

Sri Lankan national Thavisha Lakindu Peiris, 25, was found stabbed in his car in Southey Crescent on Sunday.

He had been making his final delivery for Domino's Pizza before he was due to start a new job as an IT consultant.

Shamraze Khan, 25, of Southey Crescent, and a 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are due before Sheffield magistrates later.

They were arrested on Thursday night by South Yorkshire Police.

Mr Peiris had set off at 21:50 GMT to make a delivery in Southey Crescent.

His colleagues found him dead in the driving seat of his Toyota Yaris in a parking bay near the delivery address. A post-mortem examination found he died from multiple stab wounds.

Mr Peiris had been working at the takeaway in Halifax Road after graduating from Sheffield Hallam University in 2011.

His parents, Sarath Mahinda Peiris and Sudarma Narangoda, said they had been left "heartbroken" by his death.
